NEW ULTIMATE GOALS---- DIG DEEPER!

So, I've been thinking alot about this. When you've been heavy all your life, you have a very wharped view of what it means to be in shape. I was reviewing my Ultimate Goals and I think I can do alot better than them. I also took a sneak look at my "before" (Insanity) pics, and I'm carrying so much fat around my middle...definitely not a sexy look and definitely not healthy.

So, I'm revising my Ultimate Goal #s! I know I can't spot reduce, but I've based my new #s on my actual body shape and where I see that I need to and can lose fat. See below for my revised goals:

Old Goals NEW ULTIMATE GOALS
Weight: 165 150 lbs
Chest: 35" 32" (not fullest part)
Arms: 12" 11.5"
Upper Waist: 28" 26"
Lower Waist/Upper Hip: 35" 33"
Hips: 40" 38"
Clothing Size: 8 6/8
Thighs: 26" 24"

Body Fat %: 49.7% (current) 25%

I am actually sitting here with tears in my eyes envisioning myself in a size 6 anything. I've never worn a 6 in all of my life, but I fel so inspired by my progress last week. I think my new #s are healthy and reasonable for my body shape. I'd like to reach my new Ultimate Goals by December 31 of this year.

What do you guys think?

  1. I've tried various low-carb, low-calorie, and low-fat diets for the past couple of years. Although the Atkins diet is very popular, it made me feel somewhat unhealthy.

The diet plan I'm on right now is the Medifast Diet. The caloric intake is roughly 800-1000 calories. However, it doesn't make my body feel weak. It is a bit of a pricey diet, but there are plenty of coupons available on the internet (i.e. http://www.swoopup.com/stores/deals/Medifast-Diet). You should never pay full price.

My advice is just choose a diet plan which your body reacts positively to. No one knows your body better than you do!
