I'M BACK!!

So, I know I've been gone for a while, and I'm SOOOO sorry. Between the kids, work, and drama, things have been crazy.

For a while, even with my Insanity workouts (which we're still doing!), my weight didn't budge. I got down as low as 221, but the scale refused to move past it. I tried everything, and nothing worked. So, the depression started....

But I have GREAT NEWS! I broke through, finally! As of yesterday, my weight was 216.6, and I've actually lost nearly 8 lbs in the last 8 days. I've tweaked my workout, practiced responsible breathing, limit my calories, and most importantly, I've finally gotten in touch with the reasons I'm overeating! I feel great.

So, I'm due to take my weight and measurements again tomorrow....I promise to post again. I'll also start posting regularly on Mondays again, I PROMISE!

Have you guys been meeting your weight loss and fitness goals??

  1. Hi IVV! I came across your page doing research on Insanity. My cousin just bought it for me as an "early birthday present" after I had mentioned to him that I was curious/interested in it. I was psyching myself out until I came across your page. We have similar goals (I have a "sexy September" plan) your stats seem to be almost identical to mine, but I'm curious as to how tall are you? Regardless, you have given me confidence that I CAN do this and I WILL! I'm currently on Jillian's 30 day shred (will be done by the end of the month) and will start Insanity right after! I have bookmarked your page and will check it often to gain inspiration and see how you're doing. GREAT JOB and please keep it up! :)

  2. Hi Michelle....thanks so much for your comment- its these that keep me motivated.

To answer your question, Im 5'9". I've fooled myself into thinking all these years that I "carry my weight well" because I'm tall, but extra weight is extra weight lol. Insanity has really changed my life and has me in the best shape I've ever been in.

Good luck to you with all your goals, and keep me posted! We "September Sexy" girls gotta keep each other motivated!

    I'll be updating on Monday.

  3. Hi IVV!!

I too came across your page doing online research on the dvd's for Insanity. I love how you've taken your measurements all the time to keep us posted on how you are doing!

I to have always been told that I carry my weight well ( I'm 5"11) but you got it right when you said, weight is weight and well, I would just be happy to get rid of my thunder thighs and muffin top!

I've just quit going to the gym after going about 3-4 times a week and hitting that point where unless you get a trainer your not going to loose more and I don't have the $ to pay for one. My question is how hard are the dvds to keep up with? Do you find yourself dreading working out? How soon did you REALLY see a result? I've added you to my fav's, keep up the good work!!

    PS Do you have Twitter?

  5. Glad to see you've return. So since I last posted. I did order insanity.
Did it for two weeks (with a week in between of nothing) then stopped for three. So I'm back at it on my second consecutive week. The first time around, I had a hard time finishing the workout, but I didn't have anything in my stomach. I can't eat anything just before a workout or I will cramp up. I started sipping on a smoothie during the workouts or have a spoonful of yogurt and things are good. Keep up the great work.

  6. Thanks for the comments guys!

@illogical76-- I'm not on twitter yet, but I will be in the next couple of weeks. The DVDs are not easy, I'm not gonna lie to you. There were (and are) so many times I wanted to give up, but I didn't. I just keep visualizing myself healthy and girdle free (LMAO), and I DIG DEEPER! I started noticing results on the 4th or 5th day.

You definitely have to make sure you eat before (or during) the workout. These are not workouts you can sail through. I notice a huge difference when I up my protein intake before the workout- yogurt, cheese, protein/fiber bars. Makes getting through them easier. I also am sure to breathe properly (noticed a HUGE difference in my weight when I did), and I constantly take my pulse and keep it at 75% of my maximum (not above- which is VERY easy to do with Insanity). My doctor says 60-75% is my fat burning zone, and in order to los weight I need to stay around 75% or below.

Hope all of this info is helpful to you guys!
